Reducing regulation: update
Ahead of the COAG meeting on 13 April, the Commonwealth Government (through a press release from the Treasurer) has set out its action to date to reduce regulations.
Of particular interest is a new business consultation website, www.consultation.business.gov.au, which has been established as a one stop shop for businesses, associations and other interested parties to register an interest in being consulted about changes to proposed or existing regulations.
