I think the Do Not Call Register should also include charities too. Just about ALL of the call from charities that are now calling are using commercial companies and VERY LITTLE money is going back to the charity . These companies are ALSO abusing our information that they get from there data bases and using it for there commercial use
So end result you/we are now on a living data base with all our details. This is updated every time we buy over the phone

This is ridiculous - fax marketing is a very effective way for small business to remain competitive (Direct mail is simply too expensive), and far better for environment than direct mail.
Business-to-Business marketing should NOT be interferred with by government, business have the right to market.

If the list is expanded to include business, we will see tens of thousands put out of work (great in the current economic climate), and a great deal less competition in many markets that will only serve to benefit massive non competitive incumbents like Telstra/optus and AGL/Origin etc. This government should be pro-small business, not pro big-business.
In saying that businesses waste time on telemarketing calls and that this is a good reason for an expansion of the DNCR ignores the irrefutable fact that the services offered by many companies engaged in telemarketing save businesses money.
This proposed expansion is short sighted and totally ludicrous. What next? Ban markets altogether?
