Fast Company have put out an iTunes playlist of the songs that sound like success, that fuel your creative fire. There are some classics and some obscure ones, all worth a singalong.

The 5 second rule

The IgNobel Prizes have brought to light that someone has actually researched the 5 second rule (ie If You Drop It, Should You Eat It?).

This news actually created a bit of discussion in our household, as it has on CNN's poll on the topic.

Worthwhile

Via Curt Rosengren is this link to a preview of the first edition of Worthwhile magazine.

It contains articles designed to inspire you. In particular I like the the fact that the article "50 songs to fire you up" has been turned into an iTunes playlist (iTunes required).

The Government has been returned with an increased majority and possibly control of the Senate.

Lessig Speaks

Via Bag and Baggage I got a link to a mp3 recording of Professor Lawrence Lessig speaking yesterday at Web 2.0. Back at Bag and Baggage and at the Web 2.0 site are links to the clips Lessig played during his talk to demonstrate his arguments.

Lessig will be in Brisbane in January to speak at an Open Content Licensing/Creative Commons conference. I'm going!

Gefiltefish TV

Bob has introduced me to gefiltefish...not the food but a series of short cartoons based on a Brisbane Jewish doctor and family. Different...a slice of life with enough wry humour to occasionally bring out a smile.
